Syracuse beats Lockport 4-0 as Evans gains shutout

Syracuse used a sparkling performance by Timothy Evans to take down Lockport, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Syracuse\’s 4-0 shutout victory.

Syracuse was led by Christian Paradiso, who tallied one goal. Paradiso scored 7:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Syracuse. Nate Walker picked up the assist.

Syracuse excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Syracuse kept Lockport\’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Sal Stalteri made 39 saves on 43 shots.

Syracuse also got points from Nicholas Sanborn, who also registered one goal and one assist and Raymond Falso, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Syracuse also got a goal from Hunter Soden as well. In addition, Syracuse received assists from Kelsey Head, Tucker Bartenslager, and Raymond Rowe, who contributed one each.

Lockport was held below its usual level of production. Lockport puts an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game. Lockport forced Syracuse goalie Evans to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Timothy Evans made 36 saves for Syracuse on 36 shots. Syracuse incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Lockport incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
