The Lockport Express' offense had a big night, peppering the East Coast Minutemen with 57 shots throughout the game. The Lockport Express took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Andrew Logar. Chace Woods chipped in with 2 assists and Frankie Bodami delivered for his team with 2 assists. Kami Kortelainen did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
In the first, Bennett opened the scoring for Lockport with a goal at 5:58 with helpers from his linemates, Bodami and Woods. Schweickert deposited a goal at 19:37 with a helper from fellow Express forward Bodami.
During the third period, Swanson finally put East Coast on the board with a goal at 5:17 with an assist from Kortelainen. Logar answered for Lockport with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:37 with helpers from his linemates, Woods and Thornton. Kortelainen answered for the Minutemen with a goal at 19:48 with assists from Brochu and Crowley.
The Express’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Partridge’s big night as he stopped 40 of the 42 shots he faced. Partridge’s counterpart, Montecalvo, also had a big night, managing to stop 54 of 57, but ultimately fell short.
