Wilkes-Barre tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Lockport held on for an 8-7 victory.
Lockport took a 8-6 lead during the third period, only to have Wilkes-Barre storm back on a Johannes Leitner goal 17:13 into the third period to pull to one goal down.
Nicholas Siracuse was all over the ice for Lockport, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Siracuse scored the first of his two goals at 15:46 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Wilkes-Barre. Anthony Merante assisted on the tally. Siracuse\’s next tally made the score 5-5 with 18:02 left in the third period. Jacob Burford picked up the assist.
Lockport kept Wilkes-Barre\’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Simeon Valonen made 32 saves on 40 shots. Lockport could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game.
