Logar's big night helped the PowerHawks crush the Kings 9-1

Andrew Logar had a big night with 5 points (4 goals, 1 assist) as the Niagara Falls PowerHawks crushed the Skylands Kings 9-1 in a home game at Hyde Park Ice Pavillion in Niagara Falls. Also, the Niagara Falls PowerHawks' offense had a big night, peppering Skylands with 36 shots throughout the game. The Niagara Falls PowerHawks took the lead early in the second on a goal from Matt Cavanaugh.

Matt Cavanaugh delivered for his team with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Matthew Minichello contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first period, Logar opened the scoring for the PowerHawks with a goal at 18:09 with helpers from teammates Hrynczak and King.

In the second, Sizov answered for Skylands with a goal at 1:50 with a helper from Sears. Cavanaugh quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:25 with assists from Logar and Hrynczak. Logar scored a goal at 14:58. Minichello quickly followed with a goal at 15:05 with a helper from fellow PowerHawks forward Minichiello. Logar deposited a goal at 17:11 with assists from Cavanaugh and Snyder.

During the third, Tripi netted a goal at 5:35 with a helper from defenseman Walerowicz. Cavanaugh put in a goal at 8:09 with assists from Minichiello and Minichello. Logar quickly followed with a goal at 9:03 with helpers from Schweickert and Bodami. Walerowicz quickly followed with a goal at 9:43 with assists from King and Olszewski.

The PowerHawks’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Augustine as he stopped 24 of the 25 shots he faced. Augustine’s counterpart, Sears, also had a big night, managing to stop 27 of 36, but ultimately fell short.
