Logar's hat trick helped the PowerHawks crush the Kings 7-3

Andrew Logar led the way with a hat trick as the Niagara Falls PowerHawks crushed the Skylands Kings 7-3 in a home game at Hyde Park Ice Pavillion in Niagara Falls. As well, the Niagara Falls PowerHawks' offense had a big night, peppering Skylands with 52 shots throughout the game. The Niagara Falls PowerHawks took the lead late in the first on a goal from Stephen Minichiello and never looked back.

Brandon Snyder did his part, adding 2 goals and Stephen Minichiello chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Eric Vanderhoff delivered for his team with 2 assists.

In the first, Snyder opened the scoring for the PowerHawks with a goal at 5:12 with helpers from his teammates Logar and King. Landry quickly followed with a goal at 5:36. Bodami answered for Niagara Falls with a goal at 11:10 with helpers from Logar and King. Snyder deposited a goal at 14:38 with assists from his linemates, Logar and Hrynczak. Minichiello quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 16:18 with helpers from his teammates Walerowicz and Tripi.

In the second, Logar netted a goal at 19:45.

In the third period, Sizov answered for Skylands with a goal at 3:30 with an assist from Vanderhoff. Dinzik put in a goal at 8:58 with helpers from his linemates, Vanderhoff and Garrigan. Logar answered for the PowerHawks with a goal at 11:36. Logar deposited a goal at 18:38 with an assist from Minichiello.

Niagara Falls’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Augustine as he stopped 9 of the 12 shots he faced. Augustine’s counterpart, Yttereng, also had a big night, managing to stop 45 of 52, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Niagara Falls PowerHawks’ record to (6-6-1-0). (716) 863-1459
